LitWorld strengthens young people and their communities through the power of their own stories, and the stories of others, together authoring a bold new world of equity and opportunity. In partnership with community-based organizations and local leaders, LitWorld runs after school LitClubs and school break LitCamp programs in 25 countries, including cities across the United States. LitWorld believes that literacy is more than decoding words on a page; it is a transformational tool to help children aspire, hope and plan for the future.
SolarAid is an international charity that combats poverty and climate change. They provide access to solar lights in some of the most remote regions of the world and are building a movement to eradicate the kerosene lamp. With a solar light, everything changes. These little lamps are safe, clean and affordable. They give off hours of light in the evening so families can earn, learn and feel safe after dark. Just one lamp can transform the fortunes of an entire family and is the first step on an energy ladder to full electrification.
Founded in 1998, Rise Against Hunger has delivered aid and disaster relief supplies in the form of food, medical supplies, clothing, school supplies and more to thousands of disaster victims and other hungry and vulnerable people in 73 countries. Rise Against Hunger supports personal and community growth through implementation of programs that encourage participation in school and skills training, health and nutrition, sustainable agriculture, and clean water projects
WATERisLIFE is about impact, showing donors and supporters how lives are being changed. WiL provides clean drinking water, sanitation and hygiene education programs to schools and villages in desperate need. They provide opportunities for others to be involved through fundraising and field project implementation. The global water crisis can be daunting. WATERisLIFE focuses on making an impact community by community.
